Biography

As faculty within the Physical Activity and Wellness Lab, I have been directly involved with the Greater Nebraska Physical Activity Initiative and work closely with the other Exercise Science Faculty to provide a wide variety of opportunities for our students. We hope to address the obesity epidemic by providing expertise in community programs and initiatives aimed at increasing physical activity and healthy eating behaviors across the lifespan. I have worked with school districts to promote change in physical activity and healthy eating, as well as individuals and families to make physical activity and nutrition behavior changes.

I am also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and work closely with the Loper Performance Program in the areas of sports nutrition and program design. I also work with area sports teams, addressing sports nutrition topics, specifically weight loss among wrestlers.
